Synthesizer V

commercial vocal synth

Developed by Dreamtonics, headed by Kanru Hua. Kanru Hua briefly interned with Yamaha’s Vocaloid department, developed the UTAU resampler moresampler (which is a rudimentary version of what would become the SynthV engine), and created the UTAU English format Arpasing. In the past, a commercial editor was available, but it can no longer be purchased. Commercial voices have been pulled as well, due to being updated to Synthesizer V Studio. It is still possible to use the free voices for generation 1, none of which can be used commercially in this state. The editor and free voices can be downloaded, but a new registration code for the voices must be obtained periodically. All voices for R1 have been upgraded to Studio, making R1 largely unnecessary. Synthesizer V Studio

A synthesizer created by Dreamtonics, headed by Kanru Hua. Synthesizer V is famous for its extensive features, affordability, ease of use, and quality.
There are three versions of the editor: “Web”, “Basic”, and “Pro”. Basic is a feature-limited version, and can be downloaded freely from either Dreamtonics or Anicute. Many free “lite” vocals are also available. Commercial voices can be used in Basic. Pro is a commercial product with no locked features; Pro does not come with a voice, but lite voicebanks can be used.
If you have both Studio Pro and a full AI voicebank, it can be used in all three supported languages regardless of what language the voice was recorded for. Some AI voicebanks (but not all) have “vocal modes” which improve versatility similar to “append” voicebanks, but with the ability to control the level of change and mix-and-match. (source)
