An extremely popular speech software developed by AH-Software, which runs on the AITalk engine. Due to licensing issues with AI JP, the software is facing retirement. VOICEROID can only be used on a Japanese computer, requiring date/time formats, display language, locale, amongst other things, to be set to Japanese. VOICEROID2 can be used on any computer with only the locale set to Japanese, but there is no English interface. Voicebank commercial licenses are separate, costing $980 USD for a permanent license (single user) or $50 USD per song (one artist). A group license or business license must be bought separately. VOICEROID has no deactivation feature and is limited to 3 activations. You must email AH-Software if you deplete your activations. (source)
